Field Trips
The school organizes field trips and outings from time to time. These activities support the curriculum and offer children the opportunity to broaden their experience at L’Ecole Française du Maine.
When planning our field trips, we seek to tap into the natural and cultural offerings of Maine. Our students have visited celebrated museums like the Portland Museum of Art, the Franco-American Heritage Cultural Center, the African-American Cultural Center and more.
And given the location and setting of the school itself, we frequently take advantage of our outdoor surroundings. The village of South Freeport maintains the size and character of a traditional New England town, and it’s situated among nature preserves, rich ecosystems, and the beautiful Maine coastline. Our teachers incorporate outings and sporting activities into the planning of the curriculum as often as possible. |
