Willy LeBihan

Sarah is a certified Special Education and English as a Second Language teacher. She has worked in a special education day treatment setting for seven years, teaching students from Kindergarten to 6th grade with social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities. She gained experience planning and implementing literacy interventions concentrating on phonics, fluency, and comprehension in this setting. Sarah has also planned and taught reading interventions with a local tutoring group for the past year.
Through her experiences, she has become skilled at balancing social-emotional well-being with academic expectations. After all, school and learning should be an enjoyable experience for all students! She originally graduated from the University of Maine Orono with a teaching certification in Secondary Biology. Sarah has experience teaching students from preschool to seniors in high school. In fact, she started her teaching career as a preschool teacher, where she put her science background to use by creating after-school science and engineering camps, primarily using STEM experiments.
Sarah grew up in Maine, enjoying the beautiful natural world around her. She loves to hike, paddleboard and garden in the summer. She spends the winter catching up on reading.
