Welcome to Admissions at L’Ecole Française du Maine! Thank you for your interest in our program. Here you will find information regarding our application process, tuition and fees, financial aid, and more. Peruse our FAQs for answers to some commonly asked questions, and explore the rest of our website to learn about the many benefits of immersion education at our school.
Our Admissions process is fairly straightforward.
Enrollment is open to any child, with priority given first to children who are reenrolling, then to siblings of children enrolled, and then to the waiting list.
Inquiry: The first step to being admitted to L’Ecole Française du Maine is to contact us. We’re available through phone, letter, email, or online inquiry form, and we look forward to hearing from you.
Application: Complete an application form for enrollment and return it to EFDM with a non-refundable application fee of $50.00 (fee applies to initial application only).
Interview and Visit: Upon receipt of the completed application form and fee, the parent/guardian and child will be invited for a visit and an interview, a required part of the admissions procedure. Through the visit, we will present the mission of the school, our campus, and our staff. Through the interview, we strive to understand your child’s readiness for and ability to benefit from our program. Although we accept children under the age of 3, this is not a toddler program and we expect all children to be toilet trained.
Acceptance: L’Ecole Française du Maine requires a strong commitment to the program, as placements are limited. Upon admission, a contract agreement between the school and family will be completed and signed.
We encourage all new applicants to visit our school, see our classrooms, meet members of the school community, and explore the surrounding area. We hope to give your family an opportunity to become familiar with our school and the environment. Please contact the office to arrange a visit. We look forward to meeting you!
