L’École Française du Maine offers advanced after-school French classes for middle and high school students. These classes are designed especially for our graduates who wish to continue their immersion journey, but are also open to outside students with prior French experience.

What to expect:

• Small group instruction focused on conversation and written skills

• A fun but challenging environment that respects students’ academic workloads

• Preparation for the DELF Exams (Diplôme d’Études de Langue Française), the official French Ministry of Education certification

Why DELF matters:

• Recognized worldwide as proof of French proficiency

• Valid for life — no expiration

• Boosts school records, college applications, and career opportunities

• Higher-level DELF results (B2/C1) may exempt students from language requirements at universities in the U.S. and abroad

Testing Center in Maine:
L’École Française du Maine is proud to be an official DELF and DALF testing center — the only one in Maine and north of Boston. Students no longer need to travel to Boston to sit for these prestigious exams.
