We offer summer childcare/camps from June 22, 2026 to August 21, 2026.

If you want a safe place for your kids to enjoy the summer, please join us! Mornings will include a fun French activity, and afternoons will be filled with arts & crafts, games, and plenty of time for free play. In addition, early Childhood children will be offered time for rest in the afternoon. Open to children ages 3-12.

Hours: 8:30 am -3:30 pm, with extended day offered from 3:30 pm -5:30 pm

Each week is designed to provide a rich, engaging, and educational experience, aligning with the bilingual and cultural mission of L’École Française du Maine.

Week of June 22 to June 26: The Olympic Games (Olympiad)

Campers will embrace the spirit of the Olympics through a week of exciting athletic challenges that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and fitness. Activities will include track and field events, relay races, and creative games designed to suit all skill levels. In addition to friendly competitions, campers will participate in team-building exercises and enjoy themed crafts that celebrate global unity and the Olympic tradition. This action-packed week encourages campers to stay active, build confidence, and celebrate their achievements in a fun and supportive environment.

Week of June 29 to July 3: A Journey Through France:
Campers will embark on a cultural adventure, immersing themselves in the French language while discovering the traditions, cuisine, and arts of France. Throughout the week, they will enjoy hands-on activities such as cooking simple French dishes, learning classic French songs, and playing traditional playground games. Interactive storytelling and creative crafts will introduce them to France’s rich history, iconic landmarks, and diverse regions. Campers will also explore art and design projects inspired by famous French artists and regional crafts. This total French immersion experience offers a fun and engaging way for children to deepen their language skills while experiencing the magic of France firsthand.

Week of July 6 to July 10: Superheroes Around the World:
Campers will set forth on a global adventure, discovering legendary heroes from different cultures while creating their own unique superheroes with special powers and origin stories. Activities include: Cultural Hero Spotlights: Stories of inspiring heroes –  Superhero Storytelling: Creating and sharing imaginative superhero tales in French and English. – Costume Workshop: Designing masks, capes, and superhero gear. – Hero Training: Fun obstacle courses and team games that build bravery, kindness, and problem-solving skills. – “Save the Day” Mission: A collaborative rescue mission promoting teamwork and empathy. This bilingual camp week fosters creativity, confidence, and friendships—all while celebrating the hero in every child.

Week of July 13 to July 17: Nature
Journey on an immersive exploration of the natural world during our Nature Week. Campers will venture into the serene Bliss Woods of South Freeport Village, engaging in activities such as nature journaling, wildlife observation, and ecological games. Guided by experienced instructors, children will develop a deeper appreciation for local ecosystems, learn about native flora and fauna, and participate in hands-on environmental projects that foster a sense of stewardship and wonder. Bliss Woods provides an ideal setting for our explorations with its 85 acres of working forest and diverse natural habitats. This week is designed to inspire curiosity and a lasting connection to the environment, aligning with our mission to provide enriching, educational experiences in a bilingual setting.

Week of 20 to July 25: Grandma’s Playground Games: A Journey Through Timeless Fun
Campers will step back in time to enjoy a nostalgic week filled with traditional playground games cherished for generations across Europe and America. Activities will include classics like hopscotch, marbles, jump rope, and more, all taught and played in both French and English. This fun-filled week fosters social interaction, physical activity, and a sense of community as campers discover the joy of simple, timeless games that bring everyone together.

Week of July 27 to July 31: Francophonie: A Celebration of French-Speaking Cultures
Join us on an exciting journey celebrating the rich diversity of French-speaking cultures from around the world. Through total French immersion, they will explore music, dance, stories, and traditions from Francophone countries across Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond. Activities will include crafting items inspired by global traditions, learning lively French songs, and playing traditional games from different regions. Storytelling sessions will introduce campers to legends and folktales from various cultures, fostering creativity and global awareness. This week offers a dynamic and enriching way for children to deepen their French language skills while gaining a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity.

Week of August 3 to August 7: Water and Pirates: 
Campers will dive into an adventurous week filled with water-based fun and pirate-themed excitement. They’ll participate in treasure hunts, build model ships, and engage in imaginative water play games, all while embracing the lore of high-seas adventures. Throughout the week, campers will work together to solve pirate riddles, navigate obstacle courses, and uncover hidden “treasures.” This action-packed experience fosters creativity, teamwork, and a love for outdoor play in a fun and immersive setting.

Week of August 10 to August 14: Carnival and Circus: A Week of Wonder and Whimsy
Campers will experience the excitement and magic of carnival and circus arts in a vibrant, fun-filled week. Activities will include juggling, face painting, clowning, and creating colorful carnival crafts. Throughout the week, campers will build confidence and creativity as they practice playful performances and develop new skills. The festivities will conclude with a joyful showcase for families, where campers can proudly display their talents and celebrate the spirit of the circus together.

Week of August 17 to August 21: Stars and Space: A Cosmic Adventure
Campers will blast off on an exciting journey through the wonders of astronomy and the mysteries of the universe. They’ll engage in activities like stargazing, crafting space-themed art, and discovering fascinating facts about planets, stars, and galaxies. Interactive lessons and creative projects will spark their curiosity as they explore the cosmos and imagine life among the stars. This stellar week promises to inspire a sense of wonder and discovery while nurturing campers’ creativity and scientific curiosity.

Other Considerations:

Please send snacks only if attending half-day, and snacks and lunch if attending full-day.

An ice pack should be included in the lunchbox. Once enrolled, you will receive the necessary health forms to be completed and submitted before the start of camp.

Please apply sunscreen and insect repellent before arriving each day and send a note if you wish us to reapply.

Summer Camp Fees are non-refundable unless a session is not offered, in which case you may choose to select an alternate week or receive a full refund.
