Bonjour,
What an extraordinary week it has been at EFDM!
A heartfelt thank you to all of our students, teachers, artists, parent volunteers, and families who helped make our second annual Art Fest: The Elements such a memorable success. The creativity, energy, and collaboration displayed throughout the week truly transformed our campus and La Maison into a living museum of student imagination and artistic expression. Friday afternoon’s vernissage was a tremendous success, with a wonderful turnout from the community and so many beautiful moments shared together.
A very special congratulations as well to our Suzuki students and violin teacher Shaina Graff for the lovely musical performances during the vernissage on the porch of La Maison. Nothing says “French village arts festival” quite like live strings floating through the spring air in Freeport. Magnifique!
This newsletter is also an important reminder that Monday, May 18th will be one of the biggest and most exciting days of the school year featuring:
- Grandparents and Special Friends Day
- The IB PYP 5th Grade Exhibition
- Our Spring Suzuki Concert at 2PM
We are looking forward to welcoming grandparents and special guests at 10:45 a.m. on the school playground. Guests will visit classrooms with their student hosts from 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon at the Community Hall at noon. During lunch, our 5th Graders will introduce this year’s Exhibition before we all journey to la Maison to discover their full Exhibition presentations at 1:00 p.m. under the tent with tea, coffee and cookies. The day will conclude back at the Community Hall at 2:00 p.m. with our Spring Suzuki Concert featuring pianists and cellists.
We look forward to sharing with you this very special day celebrating community, creativity, music, inquiry, and the incredible work of our students.
