May 4, 2026

Bonjour,
As we turn the page to May and enjoy the long-awaited arrival of spring in Maine, this time of year reminds us just how full, and fast-moving, the school calendar becomes.
In this edition, you will find a glimpse into the energy and creativity that define life at EFDM. From the entrepreneurial success of Le Petit Café de Freeport to national student achievements on the ski slopes of Colorado, our students continue to impress in and out of the classroom. We are also proud to highlight recent recognition of our school leadership and the continued growth of our programs.
Looking ahead, May is one of the most vibrant months of the year. Art Fest: “The Elements” will take place on May 13th and 14th, followed by a vernissage at La Maison on May 15th, a multi-generational celebration of creativity where we warmly invite parent participation. Just a few days later, on Monday, May 18th, we will gather for one of our most meaningful traditions: Grandparents and Special Friends Day, held in conjunction with our 5th Grade IB Exhibition, and culminating in a Spring Suzuki Concert that brings our entire music program together.
We also invite you to learn more about our Early Childhood Playground Project, as well as Summer Camp enrollment, both of which are moving forward with strong momentum.
We encourage you to read through the updates below, stay engaged, and, as always, reach out with any questions at office@frenchschool.me
Merci beaucoup!
Emily and Willy
