Bonjour,
Welcome back everyone! It feels good to get into the swing of things, and enjoy some beautiful late-summer weather together as we head into a new year. This regular school newsletter, to be shared about once every two weeks, is your go-to place for updates, reminders, and opportunities to be part of our EFDM community. In the weeks ahead, we’ll continue rolling out new ways for you to stay connected with your child’s classroom experience. Be sure to read through each edition so you don’t miss a thing!
This coming week, we’ll be hosting our Back-to-School meetings with some scheduled for the afternoon, and some in the morning, when parents will already be present for drop-off and pick-up. You are invited to attend your student’s classroom session, and you’re also welcome to join other classroom meetings if you’d like to learn more about the years ahead.
This year, we will continue to use Seesaw to strengthen the connection between school and home. During our Back-to-School presentation, we will make sure that all parents are signed up so you can easily follow what is happening in your child’s classroom, see their learning and activities, and stay connected with their teachers throughout the year.
Later in September is our first Bike Trip for grades 1+ at Wolfe Neck Center, weather permitting! We also want to invite you to the classroom Showcases coming up soon. These small presentations of what’s happening inside the classroom are a favorite of both parents and students!
As a reminder, fall’s Afterschool Clubs begin the week of September 21!
