Anaëlle grew up in central France and is an experienced French educator with a strong background in elementary, early childhood, and multi-age teaching. After earning her baccalauréat in mathematics and science, she completed a degree in communication at Université Blaise Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand. Her early experience working with children as an au pair in Maryland confirmed her desire to pursue a career in education.
Upon returning to France, Anaëlle earned a master’s degree in education and received her teaching certification from the French Ministry of National Education. She began her career teaching fourth and fifth grades in several schools within the Loire school district before expanding her international experience at the French International School of Bogotá, Colombia. Over the course of her career, Anaëlle has taught children at many stages of their educational development, from maternelle through the upper elementary grades. Her experience includes moyenne section, kindergarten, first grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade, giving her a particularly strong understanding of how children’s academic, social, and emotional needs evolve across the primary years.
Anaëlle has been a valued member of the teaching team at L’École Française du Maine for several years and currently teaches a combined kindergarten and first-grade class. Her extensive experience with different age groups has made her especially skilled in multi-age instruction. She thoughtfully differentiates her teaching to accommodate varying levels of readiness, learning styles, and individual needs while creating a cohesive classroom community in which children learn both independently and alongside one another.
Anaëlle brings warmth, experience, and enthusiasm to her classroom and is deeply committed to helping every child feel welcomed, supported, and eager to learn. She especially enjoys creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encourage children to participate actively, explore new ideas, and develop confidence and independence. Her caring approach and genuine love of teaching foster a positive classroom environment in which children are engaged, challenged, and known as individuals.
Outside the classroom, Anaëlle enjoys reading, swimming, running, and traveling.
