Apolline Adolphe, born in Metz in the Lorraine region of Eastern France, brings a vibrant blend of creativity and dynamism to her role at the French School of Maine. Raised in a family of professional classical musicians, she was deeply immersed in the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Lorraine from an early age.

Apolline dedicated a decade to honing her musical talents at the Music Conservatory of Metz, specializing in the viola. Her love for music, fostered by her family’s influence—her father, a cello professor and conductor, her mother, a musician with the National Orchestra of Lorraine, and her uncles, both directors of music conservatories in France—has always been a central part of her life.

However, Apolline’s interests reached beyond music. She pursued studies in the hospitality industry, gaining expertise in culinary arts and table service. After earning her diploma, she embarked on a rewarding journey to the United States as an au pair in North Carolina. This experience, where she became immersed in the life of an American family, deepened her passion for working with children. The cultural exchange, bilingual environment, and meaningful connections she formed with the children highlighted the profound impact adults and children have on each other’s growth.

Now settled in Maine, Apolline is eager to continue and expand her work with children. She looks forward to sharing her creativity and positive energy with her students and hopes to one day introduce a musical workshop for them, drawing from her extensive background in music.

The French School of Maine is thrilled to have Apolline as part of the team. Her unique background and passion for education and the arts significantly contribute to the enriching environment the school offers.
