Jeanette was born in Portland, Maine, and grew up in Topsham. Her passion for languages began early, with many years of studying Latin in elementary and middle school before transitioning to French in high school. Although she initially wanted to study French to read French literature, she fell in love with the language itself. Jeanette earned her bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and French from USM. She is thrilled to be at L’École Française du Maine, where she can work with children and continue to improve her French skills.
Outside of school, Jeanette enjoys designing and crocheting amigurumi, particularly dragons and horses. She also loves working with real horses, baking, cooking, reading, and engaging in art projects.
