Jeanette was born in Portland, Maine, and raised in nearby Topsham. Her passion for languages began at a young age, sparked by years of studying Latin throughout elementary and middle school before discovering her love for French in high school. Initially drawn to the language through a desire to read French literature, she quickly developed a deep appreciation for the language itself.
Jeanette earned a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and French from the University of Southern Maine. She is delighted to be part of the team at L’École Française du Maine, where she enjoys working with children while continuing to refine her French skills in an immersive environment.
Outside of school, Jeanette enjoys designing and crocheting amigurumi—especially dragons and horses—alongside her interests in horseback riding, baking, cooking, reading, and a variety of creative art projects.
