Lisa Stangarone

Willy LeBihan

Lisa was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, and spent her childhood summers in the coastal town of Arcachon, France, visiting her French grandparents. This early exposure to a second language and culture sparked a lifelong interest in travel and cross-cultural learning.

She attended the University of North Florida in Jacksonville and, in 2017, completed a 200-hour immersive yoga teacher training program in Indonesia. The following year, Lisa embarked on a cross-country journey in a camper van she built herself—an adventure that took her to new places, including a ski resort in Colorado, where she worked and adopted her beloved dog. She eventually chose to settle in Maine, drawn to its natural beauty and welcoming community.

Before joining the education field, Lisa worked as an office manager at a dog daycare, combining her interests in organization and animal care. While she still enjoys dog training, she discovered a deeper connection working with children—especially those learning French, who, she jokes, are often better conversationalists than puppies.

At school, Lisa brings warmth, creativity, and a love of the arts to her role supporting classroom activities and leading the aftercare program. She enjoys building relationships with each child and contributing to their social and emotional growth.

Outside of work, Lisa’s hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, surfing, crocheting, and spending time outdoors with her dog.
